SNG

Task

• To promote research and education within the different disciplines of geophysics represented in SNG and to co-operate with related disciplines.
• To strengthen the position of the subject area in society.
• To represent Sweden in IUGG and its scientific associations.
• To represent Sweden in SCOR.
• To serve as a source of expertise for the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
• To serve as an advisory authority to universities and other sectors of the educational system.

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences is the responsible authority for SNG.
